Unscented Oatmeal- Baby Soap #7
These unscented oatmeal soaps are made from the baby soap#7 recipe. It varies from the regular soap with additional luxury oils- castor oil, sweet almond oil and extra virgin olive oil. They also have colloidal oatmeal, which puts a thin gel- like barrier on the skin to help retain it's natural moisture. These soaps are especially helpful for those with sensitive, troublesome skin.
The brown cow's baby was born with a perfect #7 on it's face- and so the name. See hover picture above.
I make all my soap in my farm house kitchen, in small batches. I use simple saponified ingredients: home rendered lard, olive oil, castor oil, sunflower oil, palm kernel flakes, sweet almond oil, kaolin clay and sodium hydroxide. These are added to a raw whole milk (fresh unpasteurized milk) and honey (locally sourced when possible) base. The baby soaps are made with additional extra virgin olive oil,castor oil, sweet almond oil,and colloidal oatmeal for extra gentleness These soaps are a creamy, lathering, firm, long lasting, gentle bar. They are a cold process soap made in Ohio farm country. The bars are smaller, hand cut, and weigh about 21/2 - 3 oz.
New Tallow Specialty Soap Bars are made in the same way as my other soaps, except using home rendered tallow and castor oil as the oils, saponified in a raw milk and honey base

Natural Tallow with green tea added is a raw milk and honey based soap bar using just tallow and castor oil as the oils. It is a simple soap bar with the natural coloring of green tea and no fragrance. 2.5 -3 oz. bar
